Business Owner Sean Loloee Launches Campaign for Sacramento City Council

Candidate promises to bring innovative, collaborative solutions to solve District 2 challenges

Sacramento, Calif. – Local business leader, entrepreneur, community activist, and Del Paso Heights resident Sean Loloee today announced he has entered the race for Sacramento City Council District 2. Loloee, the owner and operator of several Viva Supermarkets within the district, was the first person in over 20 years to bring a new supermarket to the Del Paso Heights area of Sacramento, investing over $1 million in assets to bring fresh food and resources to the community.

“As a local business owner, parent, and someone who cares deeply about this community, I’m uniquely aware of the needs of our residents and know of the amazing potential that exists and is waiting to be unleashed,” said Sean Loloee, candidate for Sacramento City Council District 2.

Loloee, an immigrant, chose to embark on the journey of creating home-grown businesses to ensure disadvantaged communities have access to high-quality products and services. In 2008, Loloee acquired a shopping center in Sacramento with the intention of opening a 35,000 square foot full-service supermarket within the center, which was the beginning of Viva Supermarkets.

In 2015, Loloee opened an additional Viva Supermarket in Del Paso Heights. The opening of this supermarket was covered by The Sacramento Bee, and at the time, was noted to be the first full-service grocery outlet opened in the Del Paso Heights area in more than 20 years. Today there are two stores located in Sacramento City Council District 2, comprising over 100 associates with 95% of the workforce maintaining residences in the North Sacramento community.

“On a daily basis, I have the opportunity to serve many diverse residents who all share the common goal of moving our community forward and making it the economic powerhouse I know it can be. I’ll use my expertise as a business owner to bring innovative solutions to the council and will ensure District 2 is no longer left behind at the dais,” added Loloee.

Loloee is gathering endorsements for his City Council campaign. For more information about Sean Loloee, visit
